Delete a site on Flywheel

If you no longer need a site on Flywheel, you can delete it from your plan with the instructions below.

Before deleting a site:

We recommend downloading the most recent Flywheel backup in case you need to reference it in the future. To learn how, check out this help doc.

After deleting a site:

We recommend removing any DNS records that are pointed to Flywheel for security best practices.

Deleting a demo site, or a site in a bulk plan

Click Sites in the main menu.
Click a site name to be taken to the site’s dashboard.
Hover over the gear icon and select the Delete site option from the dropdown menu.

Note

For users that signed up to Flywheel via a Google account, you’ll first need to create a password before you’ll be able to delete a site.

To generate a password for your account, head to your Profile > Security and follow the prompts.

Cancelling a single site subscription

If you have a Tiny or Starter plan, you’ll be given the option to cancel the subscription when you delete the site. If you choose not to cancel, you can create a new site under that subscription at any time.
