We create a backup of your site once a day, and store backups for 30 days. If you ever need to download a copy for any reason, just follow the easy instructions below!
Click into the site you want to get a backup of, then click the “Backups” tab to see a list of available backups for your site. Here you can download a backup, restore one, or create a new backup.
Hover over or touch the ellipsis icon to the right of the backup you’d like to download. You’ll see a dropdown menu with the option to download.
You should see a confirmation pop-up letting you know that we’ve got your backup on the way.
How long that takes will depend on the size of the site. A small site backup should usually arrive within a couple of minutes or so, but larger sites may take a while.
Just click the ‘Download’ button in that email and your browser will begin downloading a .zip file containing your site’s backup files and folders. (Naturally, this may take some time for larger sites.)
To use a backup to restore your site, all you have to do is replace an existing WordPress install’s wp-content folder and database with those from your backup. And if you have any questions, just let us know at [email protected]!
