On Flywheel, site backups are created nightly and stored for 30 days (or the 30 most recent backups if any manual backups are created). In the Backups tab, you’ll find the last 30 backups as well as statistics about each backup.
Backups include in your WordPress folder, including all uploaded files (/wp-content/uploads), as well as the site’s database. Backups do not include the WordPress core.
For more information, see the help article: What plugins are not recommended?
You can manually initiate a backup by clicking the + Create A New Backup button.
Just hover over the ellipsis icon on the right side of the backup you’d like to download. In the drop-down menu that appears, click Download.
Just like downloading, simply scroll down the backup you want to restore from. Click the ellipsis icon and select Restore. You’ll be presented with a series of fields asking you to confirm that you want to restore your site and allowing you to create a backup of your site as it presently exists. You will be required to enter your Flywheel password to initiate the restore.
For even more details on restoring backups, see the help article: How do I restore a backup?
