Help articles General Questions

Can I point multiple domains at my website?

Absolutely! You can point as many domains at your website as you’d like. Each site on Flywheel comes with its own IP address, so:

Change the A record for the domain to point to your Flywheel IP address (see the articles: How do I set up my DNS? and What is the IP address for my site?

Add the domains you’d like under “Domains” for your site in Flywheel

Adding a domain in the Flywheel control panel is quick and easy. To do so, click the “Add domain” button in the “Domains” box for the site you’d like to update:

In the window that pops up, you can enter the domain that you’d like to access your site with:

You simply type the domain in that you’d like. There are a couple of options on this window that can help you get things set up quickly:

  • Primary? – Whether or not this will be the “Primary url” for the site. All urls listed will redirect to the Primary.
  • Also add www / non-www? – Allows you to also add the alternative version of your domain

For more information about the Primary url, see the article: What is a primary url and how do I change it?

Once you’ve configured your DNS for the site, and updated the Domains in Flywheel, your site will be live via the urls you’ve set up. If you have any questions or issues setting up urls for your site, don’t hesitate to contact Flywheel support.

It is important to add all versions of the domains that you will use to access the site. For instance, if your site is at, make sure you add the WWW version, otherwise your site will not load correctly.
