In WordPress version 5.2, a new feature was added to the WP Admin area called Site Health, which provides information about your site and its configuration.
Site Health runs several tests on your website and is designed to show areas of potential improvement. The results that are returned are categorized by Critical, Recommended, and Good. Because Flywheel customizes WordPress at the core level, there are some false positives included in these results. For instance, you may encounter the message “Background updates are not working as expected”. This is actually a false positive! Since Flywheel locks down the WordPress CORE files, as outlined in this help document, WordPress is seeing that the background updates are disabled. Here is a look into that critical error:
