Here at Flywheel, we’re committed to building excellent user experiences and a product that shines. We also know we’re a work in progress and that sometimes, little things can slip through the cracks. So, we decided to take a full week and focus our time and effort around polishing Flywheel and making it sparkle. We officially dubbed it Polish Week!

In true Flywheel fashion, this was no ordinary week, and it wasn’t just for the development team (although they did most of the incredible work!). Polish Week was an official week-long event for the entire company that included delicious baked goods, a whole lot of collaboration between teams, and a celebration at the end of the week. We were thrilled to finally add those finishing touches to things that kept getting moved back on our to-do list.

To kick things off, Flywheelers came into work on Monday to find an official Polish Week mug filled with colorful candies. To keep things practical, the development team also got together to discuss the game plan for the days to follow. The entire company submitted ideas and voted on their favorite tasks to accomplish during Polish week, but it was up to the dev team to prioritize everything and come up with a game plan.

Polish Week is influenced by our value “we are a work in progress.” It’s a great way to acknowledge the little things we are doing to get us where we want to be.

While the development team was responsible for most of the polishing, every department came together to lend a hand and make the week special. Then as the week came to a close, we celebrated a job well done. Flywheelers were able to demo their work and explain how the features and fixes they built would impact users and make their lives easier. It was wonderful to hear from everyone and share in their accomplishments!

All in all, it was a wonderful week focused on giving our customers the best product possible. We already can’t wait to do it again!
